Welcome to the new HRRA Site

Welcome along to the new HRRA ( Hahei Residents and Ratepayers Association Inc.) website. We have spent a lot of time tidying things up, and modernising the look and feel of the site. I Would like to acknowledge the wor k of the late Bill Steads who set up and maintained the previous version of this site. I have preserved the material he  created as much as possible, whilst hopefully giving it a more interactive an 2026 look and feel. Without Bill’s work this site would not be what is today.

New Features

First off you will notice the site has undergone a dramatic rework, to make a lot of the information clearer and easier to access. None of the old content is removed – it is all still out there, but much of it from before 2020 has not been linked to in detail – so if there is some historical information you want to see let an Administrator know and they should be able to provide it to you or set up a new page with direct access to it.

One of the new features that I think will be of great use to the community is the ability for financial members of the association to post their own comments to pages. This is not available to members of the general public, and is only available to financial members after approval by our treasurer. Once approved yoiu can add comments or input to pages or other content – this is moderated before anything is actually published to that we ensure we abode by both the NZ {Privacy Act, as well as normal ongoing standards of online behaviour as set out in our privacy policy and code of conduct.

Things to remember:

  1. We’d love to have some more input form everyone in the community – especially for the history pages – there are some big gaps which I am sure some long term, locals could help fill in.
  2. As this is a very new site there may well be some things that don’t quite work as they should yet – if you find something please let use know so we can fix it up – do not just sit on it and say – ****ing new site doesn’t work 😉
  3. If you have ideas or suggestions about what else would be of use or of interest to others in the community – please also let us know !
